Smart / Connected homes
Our homes are becoming and more "connected" or, "smart" with devices such as smart speakers, central heating controls, cameras and doorbells to name just a few.
With many setup possibilities, 1 smart device can either function as a non-smart device or, can be integrated to become part of a smart home.
A word of caution though... smart devices are often configured with default manufacturer passwords. This means that there can be a risk that (for example), your smart fridge can be used to access your network. Once in, someone can find all devices connected on your network and, without proper controls in place, can easily make you a victim of cyber crime.
Along with setup and configuration of these devices, I can ensure that these devices are secure and, are configured in such a way that prevents simple access to these devices from the outside.
